While I was dragging my harrow around my property I had my favorite radio station to keep me company and also had mountain views to look at. The Glacier National Park mountains seen through the gap in the mountains sure are white!
The Park has started clearing snow from the Going-to-the-Sun road. I read that a private company estimated the road probably won't be cleared and open until June 9. They based this estimate on snow depth on a certain mountain in the Park. Of course the weather between now and then makes a big difference in when the road opens as the mountains still get lots of snow whenever we get rain in the valley.
The National Park's web site has a map of the plows locations and lots of great photos of the work to clear the road this year.
Here are a few photos from their web site to give you an idea of what it takes to clear the road.
